The encounter in Pampore area in Jammu and Kashmir entered third day on Wednesday. A group of terrorists had entered a government building in Pampore, triggering a standoff between security forces and militants. Two of the three terrorists, who are believed to have been holed up inside the building, have been gunned down by the security forces, police sources said on Wednesday.

Three army soldiers have been injured in the exchange of firing. More than 50 rockets, machine guns and explosives have been used by the security forces in a bid to kill or flush out the terrorists, who have been hiding inside the building for 3 days.
3) 25-year-old BJP worker hacked to death in Kerala's Pinarayi town
The town of Pinarayi in Kerala's Kannur district witnessed yet another gruesome incident on Wednesday as a 25-year-old BJP worker was hacked to death, two days after the murder of CPI-M activist in the district.
4) 20-year-old Dalit youth brutally killed in Punjab
A six-year-old girl Komal Meena fell into 900-feet deep borewell while playing at Bairer village in Alwar district of Rajasthan on Tuesday. She has been stuck at 170-feet in the borewell.
