Chinese think tank has issued a warning to India, saying China will have to get involved if any Indian “plot” disrupts the $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in restive Balochistan. Life in Srinagar city on Monday started limping towards normalcy as authorities lifted curfew from entire Kashmir Valley except three police station areas after 51 days of continous curfew following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani. 1. China will get involved if India disrupts restive Balochistan: Chinese think tank

 Chinese think tank has issued a warning to India, saying China will have to get involved if any Indian “plot” disrupts the $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in restive Balochistan.Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reference to Balochistan in his Independence Day speech is the “latest concern” for China and among its scholars, Hu Shisheng, the director of the Institute of South and Southeast Asian and Oceanian Studies at the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), told  a news agency in a freewheeling interview.


2. Kashmir unrest: Curfew lifted from the Valley, except three police station areas

Life in Srinagar city on Monday started limping towards normalcy as authorities lifted curfew from entire Kashmir Valley except three police station areas after 51 days of continous curfew following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.“Curfew has been lifted from Kashmir except from Pulwama town and the areas in Srinagar falling under the jurisdiction of police stations M R Gunj and Nowhatta,” a police official said. He said the curbs were lifted following improvement in the situation.


3. Olympics love from Anil Vij brings Rs 50L for Dera Sacha Sauda

Haryana Health and Sports Minister Anil Vij courted a controversy by donating Rs 50 lakh to a Dera Sacha Sauda, which had extended support to BJP in the assembly polls, for promoting rural games. Vij, who recently returned from Rio de Janeiro after watching the Olympics, announced a donation of Rs 50 lakh to Dera Sacha Sauda yesterday. The Minister witnessed a sporting event where Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was also present. “It is a very good thing. Along with religion, education and games are there, that means they are trying to prepare a complete human being,” Vij said.

4. Union minister Mahesh Sharma asks foreign tourists to ditch skirts, short dresses

Union tourism minister Mahesh Sharma on Sunday courted a controversy after he suggested foreign women tourists to ditch skirts and short dresses in India. He mentioned a welcome card is being provided to tourists visiting India with Dos and Don’ts which advise women not to roam alone at night and not to wear skirts. He was addressing a press conference in Agra where he also announced a helpline number 1363 to help foreign tourists.

5. A bomb blast outside Brussels criminology institute

A bomb blast has been reported at the Brussels Institute of Criminology, without causing casualties. It happened shortly before 02:30 local time (01:30 GMT). According to a report by a news channel, a car entered the institute's car park and "one or more" suspects reportedly detonated a bomb near the laboratories.
