In an exclusive interview to News Nation, Rita Bahuguna Joshi on Monday claimed that she will win UP assembly elections from Lucknow Cantonment and BJP is the right party for her. Lucknow Cantonment, one of nine assembly seats in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, was won by Mrs Joshi in the last election.
Mrs Joshi also revealed she has been visiting parts of her constituency for flag-raising ceremonies. 67-year-old Joshi, daughter of late Congress veteran Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna, over whom there has been speculation of deserting Congress, joined BJP in the presence of party president Amit Shah at the party headquaters in October 2016.
Former Congress leader said she has been connecting with BJP party workers on the ground level. When asked about the SP-Congress alliance for the upcoming UP Polls, she said Rahul-Akhilesh partnership will fail.
