A Rajasthan cop has landed in trouble after he was filmed being bribed in uniform in his pre-wedding shoot. According to reports, the video has upset his seniors.
The pre-wedding video, which has also been uploaded on YouTube, shows the cop Dhanpat stopping Kiran, now his wife, for riding without helmet. He fines her but she walks away after putting money in his pocket.
He later realises his wallet was taken away by her. He tracks her back to take back his wallet and the two end up falling in love.
While the video seems and feels like a Bollywood romance with plenty of songs, it has failed to amuse Dhanpat's seniors.
According to NDTV, the pre-wedding shoot of Dhanpat, posted in Udaipur district, has left his seniors upset over misuse of his uniform. The video damages the image of police department, according to the seniors.
A notice issued by Dr Hawa Singh Ghomariya, IG Law and Order, to all the range inspector generals of police says "steps should be taken against offending police personnel for misusing police uniform".
All range inspector generals have been told to ensure that "the dignity of uniform" is maintained, and code of conduct is followed. Not wearing police uniforms for pre-wedding shoots is another instruction they have been given, according to the report.
