Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage, ferris wheel, bumpy cars, candy stalls, Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin belting his voice away, the pre-wedding bash of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta makes Disneyland put up with a tough competition. The luxurious bash at the Alpine resort town of St. Moritz based on a Winter Wonderland theme, #AkuStoleTheShlo, the carnival saw the likes of big shots from across the globe.
While we can only look from afar at their lavish wedding, locals of St Moritz had a chance to adventure into the wonderland. Christian Gartmann, the spokesperson for the Ambanis in Switzerland revealed in an interview with ENJY TV that on the second day of the celebrations, the families invited 250 locals for 2 hours to the carnival - that featured a ferris wheel, bumpy cars, candy stalls among other attractions.Â
"We are very happy that it worked out with the city, with the mayor, and with the executive board of the city. We made an arrangement to open it for 2 hours, but we had to limit it to 250 people sin.''
The mayor of St Moritz, Christian Jott Jenny applauded the idea was quoted saying, "I have never seen so many happy faces, it's my best 2 hours till now."Â
Jenny went on to add, "This was something that used to happen in the good old times, but probably now we'll have more of these good old times."Â
Akash and Shloka are back in Maximum City and will tie the knot on March 9. Their pre-wedding bash saw the likes of Bollywood A-listers like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Karan Johar while Chris Martin and Chainsmokers were also flown in for the event to give their guests the time of their life.
