New Delhi:

Akash Ambani is all set to get married to Shloka Mehta today but the pre-wedding festivities started for a while now. Both the bride and groom's family hosted a private mehendi and sangeet ceremony, 'Mel and Mehendi' at NSCI dome, Mumbai.

Shloka and her mother Mona Mehta performed a dance number on the song Din Shagna Da from Anushka Sharma's movie Phillauri, only used during her entry to the mandapa for wedding with Virat Kohli.

Shloka’s mother and her sisters danced around her during the ceremony while the bride-to-be sat on a throne and performed her moves.  Shloka, her mother and her sisters wore pastel embellished lehengas and looked graceful in their attires.

Another dance video of the private affair that is doing the rounds is the bride's family dancing away on a fancy stage to "Iski uski" from "2 States". The gigantic stage was quite elaborately decked up along with the venue that was done with miniature sofas for the seating arrangement, orchids and chandeliers.

Last month, Akash celebrated his bachelor’s party with several Bollywood celebs and his family in Switzerland. Stars including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Sonam Kapoor, and others made their presence at the themed park called Winter Wonderland that was created for the locals of the city St Moritz.

Earlier, the Ambanis and the Mehtas had hosted a Harry Potter themed sangeet where Shreya Ghosal and Guru Randhawa performed and an Anna Seva the other day as they fed over 2000 underprivileged children at the Jio Centre. The baraat will assemble at 3:30 pm at the Trident Hotel today for the wedding following which, there will be a high tea and ‘mangal vivah’ at 6:30 and dinner later at the Jio World Centre.
