Prince William or the Duke of Cambride is known for his sense of humour, sharp and clear perspective towards issues. When the prince was asked to give a tip or two about parenting to his brother Prince Harry he sent laghing bells around the room saying, "I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting’’. But this time he was asked about a topic that was more personal and serious.
While on his visit to the London Headquarters of an LGBT charity trust, called Albert Kennedy Trust, Prince William said that he would fully support his children if they were gay but would also be worried about how the royal family would react to it.
Prince William, a father of three, said, “I wish we lived in a world where it’s really normal and cool, but particularly for my family, and the position they are in, that’s the bit I am nervous about.”
As reported by the Guardian, he will be bothered by the hateful words, persecution and the discrimination that might come with all of this and that it's up to all of us to try and help.
Prince William is the first royal to feature on the cover page of a gay magazine, Attitude, and his support for the LGBT community signals towards a lot of progress it has made in all these years. Nevertheless, prince through his answer also made clear that the idea is yet to accepted with open arms in the royal circle.
Prince Williams who is father to three kids, Charlotte, Louis and George recieved widespread love for his opinion and for comming out strong for its support towards LGBT rights.
