Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s limelight story never misses the public scrutiny. The former Miss world and Bollywood actor and her sartorial has always been the talk of the town. Remember her once infamous Cannes Purple lipstick? It earned her praise and meme in the social media. The Cannes lipstick garnered her divided opinions. Some found it amusing while some praised her experimental move. Well, how does it matter for someone who says, ‘We are Worth It”.

Recently, the 44-year-old beauty was honoured at the Women in Film and Television (WIFT) India Awards in Washington DC for the Meryl Streep Award for Excellence. For the auspicious event, she was accompanied by her daughter, Aaradhya. But fans couldn’t help but notice her fishtail gown by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

To say that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been a huge head turner at any event may be an understatement. However, the fishtail gown she wore this time was more like a head turn-away! The multi-tiered, fishtail creation in black and gold looked a ‘fishy-stunt’ pulled by the actor. The elaborate gold embellishments failed to do what gold normally does, make the STARS shine. In addition to the heavily embellished dress, the extensive cuff bracelet and chunky diamond rings that accessorised the gown made her look more like a Walking jewellery store.
Maybe, the Bollywood diva felt the need to make up for the fashion blunder because the nude make-up and the glossy lips perfectly complimented her soft curls.

Later, in the event, she was joined by late Sri Devi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who also won an award for her debut film, Dhadak. The young actress wore a lovely, blush pink tube dress by Reem Acra, accentuated by gold motifs on it. She rounded out her look with nude make-up and hair coiffed in soft curls and without any accessories.
