Talking about the same, Malaika recently revealed, "Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she's called 'desperate' and a 'buddhi'. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***,’’ she said.
Malaika was married to Arbaaz Khan, however, the two parted ways in 2017 after being married for 18 years. In a recent interview, Mlaiaka revealed that she is happy with the choice she made.
"I could make a choice which I stand by. I was not under any duress. I am happy about the fact that it does give you that freedom to move on, to make new choices, to make new decisions, to go out in the world with your head held high without feeling the past baggage that was there. Eventually, everyone probably wants to be in a relationship or move on or find love again. Nobody wants to be alone and single for the rest of their life. Irrespective of what everyone said around me, I am glad that I made this choice on my own," she added.
