Fruits are one of nature’s finest, health-providing gift. It detoxifies, provides energy, abet weight gain. Fruits are the store-house of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals, antioxidants and dietary fiber essential for the human body. People usually tend to replace fresh fruits with a slice of bread or a cold cereal. So, are you committing the mistake of leaving out the health-giving benefits of fresh fruits in your early morning breakfast?

When you eat a fruit on an empty stomach, the digestive system breaks down the sugars in the fruit quickly and allows you to get the full nutritional benefits. Fruits are a great source of fiber and nutrients like vitamin C and antioxidants that are responsible in reducing inflammation in the body. Eating a fruit on an empty stomach can help you with the absorption of these nutrients effectively. 
While you might be a little too fast to add fresh fruits in your diet, realizing that eating fruits can have tremendous benefits on health, some fruits can hinder the way your digestive system performs.

Apart from the benefits of fruits as the day-starter diet, eating Citrus fruits on an empty stomach might not be a great idea. Citrus fruits rich in Vitamin C are considered to increase the acid reflux in your stomach. Fruits like Guava and oranges with tough fiber and high fructose level can also slow down the digestive system.

Eating fresh fruits don’t have to be a bore, you can try different kinds of fruit in the same meal to get the most of this nature’s goodness. Try on these ways to add more nutritional variation to your diet:

Fresh fruits with cereal
Adding fresh fruits to your cereal is an easy way of including vitamin C and dietary fiber into your first meal of the day. Plus, the whole wheat grain cereal or bread are a good source of B vitamins and more dietary fibers.

Berry fruit salad
Berries have the highest antioxidant levels among all the fruits and they are also relatively low in calories. To make it a well-rounded meal, try a mix of blueberries, raspberries, and sliced strawberries. If berries alone don’t fill you up, eat a few almonds on the side or add a splotch of Greek yoghurt for a more filling breakfast. 

Green juice with fruit
Want a stodgy yet healthy breakfast? Try blending together some almond milk, kale, banana with some berries. The kale mixed with the greens and banana will give you tons of fiber added with high pectin levels. You can also add spirulina to the juice, this green dose of algae is a rich source of natural, plant-based protein, iron, calcium, vitamins A and C, and antioxidants that can help protect cells from damage.
