Not only are they deliciously-addictive, cheese might also actually be good for you. The old school thinking saw cheese as a saturated fat. However, new research questions otherwise. There are thousands of types of cheese you can choose to eat. Even for those with a weight loss plan, cheese does not deprive you of its benefits. The different variety of cheese such as whole milk cheese, low or reduced fat cheese, processed cheese, etc lets you choose according to your body’s demand. In fact, nibbling away cheese is linked with many health benefits.

Here are top four benefits of cheese:

1. Cheese reduces heart disease risk: According to recent studies, consuming cheese resulted in reduced stroke risk by 13 per cent. It might sound like a paradox given the fact that cheese is associated as a diary product. However, according to a study, people who consumed cheese daily had an 18 per cent lower risk of heart disease. Researches credit these findings to the fact that cheese contained minerals such as calcium, potassium, riboflavin, B12 Etc. It is, however, wise to keep in mind that over-consumption of everything is bad. The same goes for cheese. Eat cheese at ease and keep health at bay!

2. Cheese promotes bone health: Cheese contains health nutrition such as calcium, protein, magnesium, vitamins A, D, and K. Hence, cheese consumption is not only good for you but also for your children. The nutrients content in cheese helps in healthy bone development in children, young adults and also for osteoporosis prevention.

3. Cheese contains omega 3 fatty acids: Omega 3 fatty acids have been known to benefit the cardiovascular system and improve the brain function. These health beneficials are found in some types of cheese.

4. Cheese improves your cholesterol: Researchers believe the calcium contained in cheese helps to boost your good cholesterol while also lowering your bad cholesterol. A study conducted compared the blood cholesterol in cheese and butter. The cheese eaters ended their trials with lower total and LDL cholesterol than the butter-eaters. The result in the cholesterol-changes the researchers concluded could be due to calcium's ability to transport fat through your gut. It releases your body from absorbing the associated calories. The content found in cheese such as vitamin K2 could have also played the role, the researchers concluded.
