Mother daughter duo Jaime Allison and Calista Jean Jone who once weighed a 109 and 93 kg respectively founded a new form of weight loss regime, the jazzercise.
Jamie, a 41-year mother, got a wake up call when she felt ashamed to even stand in front of the whole class. soon she realised that she needed to shed the pounds and get fitter not just to be healthy and happy but also for the sake of her daughter who was following her footsteps of unhealthy snacking.
Surprisingly, Cali was weighing 93 kg at the young age of 19. Binging on snacks, and unhealthy eating habits had caused them to reach this threshold, and that is when they decided to do something about it.
While they had made exercise a wholesome part of their routine , they still struggled to lose weight and took into account the importance of diet more than workout. According to a report, Jamie told that now her diet was all about portion control, measuring and tracking every bite. Within a year, the 41-year old mother of a 19-year old daughter managed to lose 40 kg to maintain a healthy weight of 69 kg.
As for Cali, she dropped 43 kg weight and followed the example her mother set for her. Both mother and daughter made this possible through jazzercise and Cali was so influenced with the workout that she has now become a Jazzercise instructor.
Sharing her journey on Instagram, cali said, "I never thought that I would ever be the size I wanted to be, but never in a MILLION years did I think God would lead me to become a instructor for my favorite workout on the planet! Everyday is a new struggle of learning new routines and having to cue but I absolutely love it! "
