New Delhi:

A Mexican teenager has done a great work. The 18-year-old has invented a ‘smart’ bra with sensors for detecting early signs of breast cancer.

The bra is developed by Julian Ros Cantu. It has to be worn for only an hour during a week so that you are safe from the inconvenience on a regular basis.

Its 200 sensors map the surface of the breast as well as texture, color and temperature and then pass on the data top a computer or smartphone app.

An artificial intelligence then processes the data.

The heat sensors are designed in a way that they detect the blood flow, which often tells that blood is feeding cancer cells.

Rios Cantu was inspired to invent the device after he saw his mother suffer breast cancer. The suffering resulted in removal of breasts after years of battling, ‘The Telegraph’ reported.

Detection of breast cancer is important for the treatment. But it often relies on self-examination.
