Although, not a sign of serious health concern, period cramps can hugely impact a large part of  everyday life of a woman. To ease these pain, one can practice these natural home remedies. So the next time those awful date nears, you can skip those dreadful pain killers and their side effects. These natural remedies are here to alleviate the pain;

Improve your diet

You can start off by reducing the fat intake and increasing the intake of vegetables. Trade out the less healthy fats like the saturated fats found in animal products with a healthier one like unsaturated fats found in olive oil. But if having diary is among your daily habit, you can choose low-fat or fat-free products. In all, try to get 25 to 35 per cent of your total daily calories from healthier fats found in fish, nuts, or vegetable oils. A healthier diet lesser the pain.

Try herbal tea to calm the cramping

Certain herbal tea has been known to calm the dreadful cramps. Used traditionally, herbal tea is a natural pain reducer. You can have your tea with peppermint or cramp bark. As per your required dosage, boil the cramp bark in a cup of water, let it simmer for 10-15 minutes and drink it three times a day. If cramp bark is not easily available at your disposal you can always replace it with fresh ginger tea.
