Skin tags are a common skin growth that usually form within the skin folds of your neck, armpits, breasts, groin area, and eyelids. The narrow stalk are loose collagen fibres that become lodged inside thicker areas of the skin. And while skin tags for the most part are harmless, some studies link skin tags to people suffering from obesity, type 2 diabetes and hormonal changes in pregnancy may also contribute to skin tags.

These skin lesions are usually harmless, but they can be painful when snagged tried to remove in a wrong way. Most of all, they are an unpleasant sight, an extra skin that are not welcomed in our body. So, below are a few home-made remedies of how we can remove skin tags naturally at home:

Apple cider vinegar: Dip cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and then place the cotton swab over the skin tag. Leave it covered with a bandage for 15 to 30 minutes, and then wash the skin. Repeat daily for a couple of weeks. The acidity of apple cider vinegar breaks down the tissue surrounding the skin tag, causing it to fall off.

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil contains antiviral and antifungal properties which makes it safe to use it for the skin. is safe to use on the skin. Wash the area where the skin tag occurs the affected area then apply the oil using a Q-tip or cotton swab, gently massaging it in. Place a bandage over the area overnight. Repeat this treatment for several nights until the tag dries out and falls off the skin.

Garlic: To get rid of a skin tag naturally, apply crushed garlic over the tag, and then cover the area with a bandage overnight. Wash the area in the morning, repeating the process until the skin tag shrinks and disappears.

Iodine: Before applying the iodine liquid, first, protect the surrounding skin by applying petroleum jelly or coconut oil to the area. Then with a Q-tip apply the iodine across the area where skin tag occurs and leave it covered with a bandage until the iodine has dried. Repeat this treatment twice a day until the tag drops off.
