Holi, one of the most colourful festivals celebrated every year is undoubtedly also one of the ‘most fun’ when, at the moment. However, when the stereos are down, the colour packages are empty, the aftermath isn’t exactly as lively as when at the moment. What we witness when all the fun subsides are pink or green face or hair which can cause skin allergies to erupt and the five months of assiduously taking care of those beautiful tresses all down the drain. But what if you replace those chemical-induced colours for a healthier, eco-friendly version of colours?
Below are some of the alternatives which you can replace your Holi colours to a healthy Holi:
- Yellow: Use turmeric powder or gram flour for a bright yellow colour. Both these ingredients found easily in the kitchen have been used for skin care ingredients and face-pack preventing the skin your damage but instead making it glow.
- Red: To get the red Holi colour, you can use sandalwood powder or powder dry hibiscus flower.
- Green: For long, the use of henna powder for luscious hair have been widely known. beautiful green colour. It is also known to detoxify the body, improve nails, protect the skin, reduce inflammation. Hence, you don’t have to worry about the ‘greens’ being smashed-on in any part of your exposed body.
- Pink: Beetroot powder not only gives you the pink colour for your Holi, it is also rich in is antioxidants, dietary fiber, calcium, iron, potassium, folate and manganese, along with other nutrients.
