A woman who posted with a body of a rare giraffe she hunted has no regrets about killing the endangered animal. Despite receiving backlash after the viral photos,  38-year-old Tess Talley says she is still hunting. Speaking up for the first time, the 38-year-old in an interview on “CBS This Morning,” says “It’s a hobby, it’s something that I love to do and described the 2017 South Africa hunt as an environmental effort.

“He was delicious,” she said. “He really was. Not only was he beautiful and majestic, he was good. And we all take pictures with our harvest. That’s what we do. That’s what they’ve always done. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

Adding further that she is “proud” of her trophy kill — which by the way, made fabulous pillows, gun case, “delicious’’ and of course, which she said “everybody loves.”

"I also have decorative pillows made out of him, and everybody loves them."

“He was delicious,” she further told CBS. “He really was. Not only was he beautiful and majestic, he was good.”

Her controversial images from a jaunt to South Africa went viral last June sparking a media outrage. The post, after it was shared by Africlandpost was retweeted more than 48,000 times with a caption berating Talley as a “white American savage” and a “neanderthal.”

Adding more points to her defence, she said that her activities had been art of a conservation effort, adding: "I would rather do what I love to do, rather than just give a lump sum of cash somewhere and not know particularly where that is going’’. Indicating further that she has no thoughts about hanging up the rifle anytime soon, she added,

“We all take pictures with our harvest,” Talley said. “It’s what we’ve all always done.”
