Gianni Russo who is best known for his role as Carlo Rizzi in 1972 cult film The Godfather claims that he lost his virginity to then sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe when he was just 15 years old. Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Russo, now 75 reminisced the time when Marilyn Monroe invited him to the bath where she was alone in the cluttered room sipping on a glass of champagne. Adding that she immediately dropped the towel and summoned him to join her in the bath, Russo told the daily,
'My heart was pounding. Like an idiot, I covered my eyes, which made her laugh.'
“Marilyn was very friendly. After a few visits I got over the movie star hype and saw her as a normal person, albeit one with a dynamite body.”
Shortly after, Russo says one of Marilyn’s advisors invited him to the Waldorf Hotel, where she was staying.
“I figured she was going out and needed me to help her with her hair,” he continues.
“Marilyn was alone in a lavish suite replete with an outdoor terrace, but the entire place looked like the set of a disaster movie.
“She was wrapped in a white towel and had a flute of champagne’’ Russo narrates
'She taught me everything I know. I thought I was the luckiest boy alive but if it had happened today, I think she'd be arrested and my parents would have tried to get some cash out of it.
Not expressing a dearth of remorse despite being under-aged Russo added, 'Was I upset? No. I'd just had sex with America's hottest movie star and sex symbol’ while also stating that Monroe would be behind bars had the rendezvous been in today’s sensitive #MeToo era.
The actor who was speaking to the daily for his memoir, ‘Hollywood Godfather: My Life In The Mob And Movies’ added that he met the iconic actress while working in a hair salon.
