JK Rowling Reveals She Suffered From COVID-19 Symptoms; Shares Doctor Recommended Techniques That Helped Her Recover

New Delhi:

Coronavirus is spreading like wildfire in European countries and the United States. More than 5,000 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Britain. Harry Potter creator JK Rowling recently took to her social media account to share that she had shown all the symptoms" of COVID-19 for the last two weeks.

The author asserted that although she didnot get her tested for the novel coronavirus  contraction but said that she had been taking advice from her doctor husband Neil Murray on how to relieve the respiratory symptoms through some breathing excercises. She concluded that she has fully recovered and the technique that her husband taught her proved to be effective.

Rowling, also shared a YouTube video of doctors at the Queen's Hospital in London on her Twitter feed, that suggests techniques to relieve one from respiratory troubles  but has no bad side effects as well. "Thank you for your kind and lovely messages! I really am completely recovered and wanted to share a technique that's recommended by doctors, costs nothing, has no nasty side effects but could help you/your loved ones a lot, as it did me. Stay safe, everyone (sic)," she tweeted. Short breathedness is one of the symptoms of Covid-19 at late stages. Some has even died of the dealy contagin suffering from loss of breath.

The doctor in the video explained how adopting the technique at the early stages of the infection can lead to an early recovery. "Five deep breaths in and each time you will hold the breath for 5 seconds, then breathe out. On the 6th breath, you will take it in and you will have a big cough covering your mouth. You will do this twice and then lay flat on your front, taking slightly deeper breaths for 10 minutes," said the doctor.

 

Meanwhile, Twinkle Khanna actress turned author, also shared JK Rowling's technique finding it helpfull and something that cannot harm one.
