India’s talent is not only recognized here but it also has earned international acclamation. Indian artists in their respective fields have earned prestige and fame globally, their excellence in arts, culture, cinema, politics, science has made these Indian names popular abroad as well.

Here are some of the places abroad named after these Indians:

Mahatma Gandhi Road in Netherlands

MK Gandhi is not only a great figure in India but worldwide too. There are several roads named in Netherlands, USA, Germany, Philippines, Iran, Canada and several other countries.

A.R. Rahman Street in Canada

The Oscar winning music composer is not only loved in India but his prominence is worldwide. There is a street in Canada Mozart of Madras after him, called the 'Allah-Rakha Rahman st', in Ontario.

Swami Vivekananda Way in Chicago, USA

In his honor there is a street named after Swami Vivekananda which is called the Swami Vivekananda Way

Indira Gandhi Street in Tanzania

There's also an Indira Gandhi street in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Rabindranath Tagore Street in Berlin, Germany

The famous Bengali poet Tagore visited Germany thrice. Commemorating Tagore's 100th birth anniversary in 1961, a street was named after him in the city of Tel Aviv.
