A woman in the US knows the exact meaning of ‘being alone than in bad company’ a little too well! Catherine Navarro, 34, from New Jersey, USA, was just 20 when she tied the knot with her now ex-husband March in 2005. What started off as sweet relationship soon turned toxic and she had to spent 15 years trying to divorce her husband according to The Sun.

Catherine, according to the Daily Mail tried to file for divorce in 2012 following the toxic relationship only to find out find out that Marc had completely disappeared leaving her having to prove she had searched all over for her husband before the court could grant her a divorce in his absence.
"He vanished off the face of the planet and I didn't hear from him or have any idea where he was," Catherine explained. "I had to prove to the court that I have looked for him everywhere."
In March 2019, Catherine was finally granted a divorce, and since the she has wasted no time to throw herself a luxurious party/divorce party to celebrate her new found freedom in the presence of her friends and families.
"I thought it was a joke at first - but a few days later he followed up about my dress and flowers. I headed to the shopping centre and bought a stunning wedding dress."
At the City Hall in New York, with witnesses including Catherine's mum and her friends, the wedding party drove back to New York for a family party to celebrate.
"It was an absolutely gorgeous day," she continued. "It was a simple affair but it came together perfectly it such a short time frame’’ she told the Mail Online.
