Recently, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul graced the couch of popular chat show on Indian television Koffee With Karan 6. The episode instantly became the talk of the town after Pandya’s remarks over women that raised a massive controversy over the social media. Now, both Rahul and Hardik have become a meme material for the trolls over the social media. Both the cricketers are also facing two-match ban and the board has also asked them to return India from the series against Australia. The move comes after Committee of Administrators member Diana Edulji said that the duo should be suspended until further course of action is taken. Now, this whole controversy gave trolls a chance to take digs on these players.

This has thrown their participation even in the tour of New Zealand in doubt where India will play five ODIs and three T20Is.

The move was taken by BCCI legal team refused to declare their comments on women in the chat show Koffee With Karan a violation of the code of conduct. "We feel that present matter doesn't fall under the ambit of Code of Conduct and procedure of Code of Conduct can't be invoked in present circumstances,” the firm stated.

Later, as per a report by Times of India, Pandya has been dropped as one of the celebrity ambassadors for men’s shaving razor Gillette Mach3 Start following his ‘outrageous’ comments. “Hardik Pandya’s recent comments do not reflect the values of Gillette. We have suspended our association with Hardik until a further course of action is decided,” a company spokesperson said.

Now, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul tendered an “unconditional” apology for their sexist comments during a TV chat show amid Committee of Administrators chief Vinod Rai saying that the BCCI should correct the two players, not end their careers. However, despite the apologies tendered by the duo, 10 BCCI units on Monday demanded a Special General Meeting to appoint an ombudsman for carrying out an inquiry.

The controversy doesn’t seem to settle down soon, as the trolls are leaving no stone unturned creating hilarious memes over the social media.
