Burj Khalifa, an iconic skyscraper in Dubai, on Friday displayed the Pakistani flag upside down bringing major embarrassment for the country. Soon after the video came to the foray, it became viral in no time. The skyscraper was lit up with the colours of the Pakistan flag on Friday, two days after the country celebrated its Independence Day.
With many Twitterati sarcastically accused UAE of trolling Pakistan whereas many saw the incident as an indicator of social and economic distress in the country.
Traditionally, Burj Khalifa lights up with flags of different countries to mark their Independence Day. The tallest tower in the world also displays important figures and marks important days or occasions with its spectacular light and sound shows.
