PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG is one of the most popular online games of current time and its addiction is also one of the hot topics among the parents and several educational institutions. PUBG addiction is also becoming one of the major concern among the many and there have been several cases where people have crossed all limits on the cost of the online game. In a recent case, a man leaves his pregnant wife and the child for the game.

As per a report, the man was introduced to PUBG by his siblings and then he started to play it extensively, leading to its addiction. This addiction led to arguments between the couple, as the man started playing the game all night and was neglecting his responsibilities. Later, the man decided to leave his family.

Meanwhile, PUBG’s arch-rival Fortnite was responsible for over 200 divorce case in United Kingdom alone.

The game is quite popular among the youth and its popularity can be measured with the growing number of gamers added per day. Recently, the makers of the game Tencent Games announced a tournament titled, PUBG Mobile India Series 2019 which is already underway. 

Recently, the game also faced ban in some states and educational institutions, for example, it was banned in Jammu and Kashmir. As per a report published by news website pristinekashmir, the Jammu and and Kashmir Students Association has requested the government to ban the PUBG game immediately owing to poor 10th and 12th class results. 

The website has also reported that the chairman of the student body has termed the online multiplayer game as “future spoiler” and has appealed to the Governor for a PUBG ban as soon as possible, thus addressing the concerns of the parents as soon as possible.

Additionally, a college in Chennai had even issued a circular regarding the game and claimed that it is “spoiling the entire atmosphere of the hostel’’ and has become an addiction for the students.
