As mankind reels under the effect of the coronavirus pandemic, nature is healing and taking over. Facebook and Twitter are full of videos about animals, birds taking over deserted city streets around the globe. With almost all of us locked up inside our homes, here is something that can bring a smile on your face.
Yup, to bring back 'thank God it's Friday' feeling, we scoured the internet and found out these super cute videos of our furry friends that will drive away your lockdown blues. Susanta Nanda, an IFS officer, is our Santa today. He regularly posts beautiful wildlife videos that make you forget the COVID-19 crisis. So without much ado, present these three clips to help you feel a bit better today.
First up, a baby elephant and his cute antics. Nanda captioned the video: 'Cajoled by the mother, this elephant calf is trying to keep its feet clean.....Corona or no Corona, remaining clean is a habit.' Isn't it fab?

Next is a heartwarming tale of a giant bear and his foster father. You will get a lump in throat while watching this bear stopping hsi hooman from going away. "No please don’t go....Bear unwilling to leave the foster father. The end is touching," Nanda said while posting the video.

The last is a rare sight of black swans feeding fish. Yes, it can happen. Nanda rightly captioned it as: "Black Swans feeding these fish is a lesson to humankind."

With almost a third of the human population under lockdown due to coronavirus contagion, looks like our furry friends are reclaiming the space lost to rapid urbanisation. From Noida to Dehradun, from Kozhikode to Odisha, numerous videos have surfaced online that show wild animals on city streets. Twitter is in awe of these video and several users are calling it a positive impact of the coronavirus lockdown.

Last month, Nanda had tweeted videos of Sambar deers roaming near Rajaji National Park. He also confirmed that the video was recent and genuine. "It is confirmed by the Forest Officials of that area that this species is Barasingha. Came from Jhilmil Jheel Conservation Reserve, a marshy grassland near Haridwar," Nanda said for the deer video.
