FIR filed against 'fake' ‘Sunny Leone’ who topped Bihar PHED

Bihar Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has filed an FIR against the candidate who made a fake application in the name of Sunny Leone and went on to top the recruitment examination for the post of Junior Engineer.

According to the merit list published by PHED, the topper secured 98.5 per cent marks. The news garnered so much coverage that it even grabbed the attention of the real Sunny Leone. 

PHEd Principal Secretary, Jitendra Srivastava has told Hindustan Times that an FIR against the fake topper 'Sunny Leone is filed and he could face several charges under the IT Act as well as CrPC sections for hampering government processes and impersonating as a Bollywood actress. 

The form even had the real photo of Sunny which confirmed the application was indeed fake. That application further stated that Leone is a 27-year-old single woman with five years of work experience. Her father’s name was written as Leona Leone and was from the unreserved (general) category candidate from Bihar. 

The merit list even had the third rank holder's father's name as some random alphabets.

The exam conducting body received flak from Bihar's opposition leader, Tejashwi Yadav regarding the same. He took to Twitter to criticise the government for the same.

 

As many as 17,000 people have applied for this vacancy.
