Man ‘Caught’ With Bag Of Cocaine Tells Police That The Wind Placed It There

New Delhi:

Definitely not a very feasible reason of make-believe! A man in Florida who was caught with a bag of cocaine in his car told the police that is was the wind that placed the substance there. Joseph Zak, 37, was pulled over by the unmarked police car on 5 November in Fort Pierce after he failed to stop at a stop sign on Canal Terr and North 23rd Street, according to the arrest affidavit acquired by The Smoking Gun.

The suspect gave himself away when he started 'making furtive movements', and appeared to be leaning over as if 'attempting to discard an item out of the passenger window'.

The affidavit summary said,  "During our interaction with Zak I observed him to being very confrontational and looking around the vehicle as if attempting to conceal another item, and his physical appearance was observed having blood shot eyes, glossy eyes, and was slurring his words when answering questions.

"Due to the open container violation he was removed from the sedan and detained in handcuff for our safety.

"Zak gave his consent to the search of his vehicle. A search of his vehicle revealed, through my training and glass round cylinder commonly used for smoking crack cocaine in the center console. A clear baggie was also located in the rear seat with a whitish residue, which tested positive for crack cocaine."

The summary continued: "Zak stated the bag of cocaine residue that was found did not belong to him. Zak stated that the police or the wind must have placed it there.

"When asked if the bag that tested positive for cocaine belong[ed] to the owner of the vehicle he refused to speak. No other clear baggies were located inside the vehicle."

In addition to drinking and driving, Zak has also been arrested and charged with possession of drugs. He has been transported to the Saint Lucie County Jail.
