As all the events went downhill over the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic with more and more people contracting the disease and the Prime Minister calling for a 21 days lockdown, a couple did the unthinkable. Taking social distancing seriously a woman from Bihar and man from Uttar Pradesh got married on video call. With no guests and only the priest in attendance the marraige was one of its kind and all safe and sound.

Bihar woman Sadiya Nasreen and UP man Danish Raza were all set to tie knot on March 23, but the pandemic disrupted their plansas trains and buses siezed to remian operation and travel restrictions being imposed. So determined was the young couple to get married that they went ahead with the ceremony even without meeting each other.  Video conferencing came to their rescue as a qazi solemenized their wedding with just the family members of the two in attendance.

In the video that’s going viral, after the couple say “qubool hain” over the video call, relatives are seen hugging each other and saying, “Mubarak ho”. The bride and the groom than sees each other for the first time after their wedding on the virtual screen!

Netizens applauding the couple called it 'extraordinary solution' to extraordinary times. 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced complete lockdown  with stringent curfew like measures for 21 days. Modi said, “This is applicable for everyone, including the Prime Minister.” The state and central government has also come uo with severe ,measures for the ones who violate the mandate and go out without any immediate urgency , that can be a jail term of six months. The coronavirus infected patients is more than 600 now.
