New Delhi:

Valentine’s Day is just a knock away with stores piling up with cutesy gifts for your valentines. But what do you give your old fling whom you didn’t end with ‘I wish you the best’ terms? Because, you got to admit not all relationships start with a kiss and end with a hug. So, for those wondering what to give back your old flame or those wanting to prank your loved ones, there is the perfect gift, the gift of ‘Nothing’, yes like nothing as in adjective ‘nothing’.

A UK-based retailer called Poundland just launched its latest Valentine's Day gift collection designed in the shape of a heart called 'The Gift Of Nothing! ‘that has nothing inside.

The cover says ‘Exactly What You Asked For’, and this empty plastic packet with a heart-shaped is priced at only EUR 1 (Rs 81). As cruel as it sounds, this gift sounds the perfect gift to get back and also not have to invest any money on.

As much as we are enjoying this ‘joke of a gift’, the product is getting mixed reactions from Twittersphere. This concern particularly has to do with the fact that the product is nothing as the gift itself is but an addition of pollution to the environment.

One Tweeter user commented, "This product is designed to go straight into the bin, but will last for 500 years. It is a symbol of everything that is wrong with our view of the world."

While another wrote, "To all the ladies out there please don't tell your other half’s you want nothing for Valentine's Day cost courtesy of Poundland this might just be what you get."

The gift may be the perfect cruel-joke to get back on your ex but the concern for the environment is also legit.

What do you think about this gift of nothing for your ex?
