A viral video that is making netizens scratch their head shows a lion sumptuously etaing grass in Gujarat's Gir Forest. Known as one of those animals that are hard-core meat eaters the sight has left a lot of netizens bewildered like how?

Watch the video here:

While the rare sight of the lion eating grass come as a shocker for a lot of netizens, anyone who have had cats as pets would know that the unusual diet is not because of the lion starving or failing to find meat as food. Cats or other carnivores eat grass because they lack the necessary enzymes to break down vegetable matter.

The juices in grass contain folic acid, an essential vitamin for a cat's bodily functions and assists in the production of hemoglobin, the protein that moves oxygen in the blood. Hence, as part of their diet to keep healthy even cats gouge greens which also serves reminder for all of us that we should be eating more veggies.
