A woman from Nevada, United States started working out at the age of 69 and now she has become a bikini body champion after four years of hard work. Maria Cristina, was a college president and after retirement she hired a personal trainer which became the turning point of her life.
She began working out thrice a week along with cardio in the morning. Two years ago, she was fit enough to enter fitness modelling contests alongside women half her age. She has also won many fitness contest titles.
She said to Daily Mail, "At the fitness competitions I go to, I see men competing well into their 80s, but the women seem to drop off after they hit about 50. I hope they can see people like me competing at 73 and realise it is possible.
Cristina hopes more and more woman in their 70s get inspired with her story.
