YouTube battle between PewDiePie and T-series gets more intense than ever

YouTube's ongoing battle is at the rim of experiencing one of the most intense wars ever, the battle between PewDiePie and Indian music record label, T-series.  While the warriors from both the channels are implementing their own strategy to get more subscribers in support of their subscribing channel, a hacker has come up with an astounding claim. The hacker has claimed responsibility for taking over 50,000 printers worldwide to print a message asking people to subscribe to YouTuber PewDiePie. This is, however, not the first time we have seen posters being circulated around public places in support of PewDiePie but a claim of hacking 50,000 printers is a dedication to another level.

The hacker, who goes by the Twitter handle, TheHackerGiraffe has claimed responsibility for the attack in a Reddit AMA. The Twitter handle has stated that he/she has hacked 50,000 printers worldwide out of potential 800,000 for PewDiePie and security awareness. "In the AMA thread, the hacker reveals that he used Shodan, a repository for Internet-connected devices where he found 80,000 connected printers and decided to attack 50,000 of them to raise awareness about printer security. Of the attacked printers, about 15,000 printers were in India’’.

As of now, the one man army, PewDiePie still dominates the YouTube world. However, the record label, T-series is tailing PewDiePie’s no.1 spot rank not far behind. As of now, both the parties stand in the 72 million zones Hitesh Rajwani, CEO, Social Samosa, is confident that the conglomerate is all set to shoot ahead. He says, “Considering the number of active YouTube users from India – 250 million plus – an Indian contender was bound to surface soon.” YouTube personality and video blogger Prajakta Koli aka MostlySane points out, “This just shows the potential India has in the digital age wherein more people are consuming content on the internet than other platforms.”
