Don’t bother picking up creepy-looking dolls you come across unless, you are a member of the Lorraine family because the doll could be 'cursed'. A real-life Anabelle horror story that will likely inspire horror movies to come tells the incident of a strange doll and the horrors that it has brought upon people it comes across. Reported to have been found deep inside a mountain range cave north of New York in 2016 by two pals on a trek, the duo claims they were plagued by horrific apparitions and poltergeist activity on bringing the doll home. Following the strange reoccurrences, the ‘cursed’ doll was handed over to spook experts Greg and Dana Newark – when “weird things started happening”.
“We were watching TV in the living room and we heard this crash. I presumed it was our two cats fighting, so I walked into the office to break it up’’ Greg said..
“But the door was closed and the cats were nowhere to be seen – I later found them later cowering under the bed!
“I walked into the office and almost stood on Jesus – who’d been ripped off a wooden crucifix that was still attached to the wall. Only Jesus’ arm was still attached to the cross.
“And for that to happen someone had to have had held it and physically prised it off.”
To capture the strange happenings, Greg and Dana set up motion-activated cameras and trained them on the Crone.
“One night Dana woke me up because she saw a woman standing in the corner of our bedroom. And wet footprints started to show up.
“The worst one, though, was when Dana came up to me and goes, ‘Why were you standing on the couch? Did you change a lightbulb or something? You need to come here and look at this’.
“There were these two footprints, soaking wet, on the back of the couch, facing the wall’’ Greg added.
The Crone doll which made people ‘’suffer seizure and started bleeding out of his month” or meet with an accident was then handed over to the Travelling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult.
In October last year, the couple returned it to the cave it came from. “This thing was finished. We buried her – and that’s where she is now. No-one will ever find her.
“This thing just wanted to go back and didn’t want anything messing with it’’ Dana said.
