New Delhi:
A video has recently surfaced that show students performing dangerous stunts without any safety net. The students belong to ITI and were travelling by an electric train from Chennai to Tiruvallur.Â
The video shows students standing on the footboard or hanging from the train window, scraping the platform surface on a moving train in spite of having vacant seats inside it.

The boys appear to enjoy the act without paying any heed to the danger they are putting themselves to. Onlookers recorded the act on their mobiles and uploaded the video on social media from where it has gone viral.
The video has caught the attention of the police who later launched an investigation and found out that the students are from the Ambattur ITI. The identity of the students is being ascertained. A case has been booked against them under Section 336 Act (endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC. ITI has also suspended the students.
There have been other incidents of college students carrying sickles and performing stunts by scrapping sickles on the platform’s surface from the moving train. These incidents have been reported from Pattravakkam and Ambattur areas. The police have been identifying such miscreants based on CCTV footage and warning the students. Â
