We all know making a marriage work involves a lot of 'work' from both the parties but did you also know that it also involves taking shower, shaving off the facial hair every now and then? Well, this particular husband clearly did not get the memo! A 23-year-old woman from Madhya Pradesh has filed for divorce, claiming that her husband avoids taking bath and shaving that stretches almost to a week.
Bhopal family court have directed the couple, who married last year to stay separately for six months, after which they will behave granted divorce decree, a counsellor said.
"Bhopal family court judge RN Chand has directed the couple to stay separately for six months," court counselor Shail Awasthi told PTI Friday.
The woman and her 25-year-old husband has not have had a child yet filed a mutual consent plea for divorce, Awasthi said.
"Women nowadays are separating from their husband over petty issues. This woman, who hails from Barigarh near Bhopal, complained that her husband stinks and when she asks him to bathe, he wears perfume to beat the odour," Awasthi said.
The man is reported to belong from Sindhi community and runs a shop and the woman is a Brahmin, Awasthi said. The woman's family members requested her not to walk out of the marital bond but she did not agree, the counselor said.
It was an arranged marriage and the man's family opted for the inter-community wedding as they did not find a suitable bride in their community, Awasthi said.
