The Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra, which took place last week, gave a wonderful message to the society by creating a corridor to allow an ambulance to pass through the heavily crowded road. A video of the outstanding humanitarian gesture went viral on social media. The video shared a Twitter handle @SPPuri1 shows an ambulance passing through the road packed by thousands of people.
“1200 volunteers, 10 organizations and hours of practice made this human corridor for free ambulance movement possible during Puri Rath Yatra 2019," the handle shared the video of the noteworthy feat on Saturday.
The video instantly went viral on social media with many praising the act. “This (is) what we call PURNA AASTHA on MAHAPRABHU JAGANNATH,” wrote one Prasant Mahapatra. “Great initiative,” wrote another user.

Lakhs of devotees participated in the annual Rath Yatra festival of Lord Jagannath on Thursday held amidst tight security in the temple town of Puri. The festival was held just a month after Cyclone Fani barrelled through the temple town, where it wrecked large-scale devastation, and claimed 64 lives in Odisha.
The servitors carried the idols of Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Sudarshan out of the 12th-century shrine in a ceremonial procession called "Pahandi". Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, other ministers, MLAs and many other dignitaries were present in Puri to witness the grand festival.
