Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 has captivated the attention of the television viewers and is turning out to be one of the successful seasons of all time. The Amitabh Bachchan hosted show has been topping the ratings charts for quite a long time now. Kaun Banega Crorepati is based on UK's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and premiered on July 3, 2000. Since then, the show has been entertaining millions of television viewers across India. KBC 9 has returned after a gap of three years on our television screens. Fans were eagerly waiting for the show and the current season received the maximum number of registrations ever. Anamika Majumdar recently became the first crorepati of Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 and audiences are looking in anticipation to see if someone will follow Anamika's footsteps or not. The October 5 episode saw Ranjeet Jaiswal walking away with a price money of Rs. 80,000. Ranjeet entertained both Big B and audiences sitting in the studio with his sense of humour. Meenakshi Jain was the last rollover contestant who was sitting on the hot seat when the clock timed out. The popular reality show also had a special guest, much to audiences delight. KBC 9 Friday's episode began with Meenakshi Jain who was the rollover contestant from last episode.Meenakshi couldn't complete her education after high school because of some personal reasons. The housewife from Mumbai with her impressive dedication and will power managed to answer some of the tough questions.

Meenakshi narrated the story about her sister who divorced her husband but had to face a lot because of the same. The society boycotted her father because of the failed marriage. Meenakshi said that the Jain community boycotted her father because they regarded it a sin to dissolve marriage.

The Thursday episode of the show saw Meenakshi correctly answering the question for Rs. 10,000, before the clock timed out. Jain was accompanied by her father and sister on the show and played quite well. She spoke about how she wanted to change the mindset of the people through the power of knowledge.

Host Amitabh Bachchan appreciated how Meenakshi keeps on learning new things and eager to know more despite the fact that she has studied till high-school. Indeed, we can say it was a huge achievement and Meenakshi has paved way for several other women who can do anything if they have such will power.

Meenakshi played the game quite well and made it to the Rs. 1 crore question. As she wasn't sure about the correct answer, she decided to leave the game with Rs. 50 lakhs. The wrong answer would have taken her back to Rs. 3,20,000 and Meenakshi went with the decision to quit the game.

Meenakshi was asked the question for Rs 1 crore, that was- 'Which textile mill was established by Jamshed Ji Tata in 1869' ? The correct answer was- Alexandra Mill. It was at this stage that she decided to call its quits.

Some of the other questions she was asked included- Quit India movement was the slogan of which freedom fighter and what is the name of super-fast train introduced between Mumbai and Goa in the year 2017? The correct answers for the same were Yusuf Meherali and Tejas Express respectively.

Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted a special segment- 'Nayi Chaah, Nayi Raah', which saw a special guest. Big B welcomed badminton star PV Sindhu on the show. The segment is indeed very special, as every Friday, the 'Deewar' actor invites those faces on KBC 9 who have introduced a positive change in our society.

Sindhu was accompanied by her sister on the show. Her sister's name is Divya which was mispronounced by Big B as Vidya. Divya, a doctor by profession corrected the 'Shehanshah of Bollywood' later on. Pullela Gopichand, Sindhu's coach surprised her with a special message.

PV Sindhu ended up winning Rs. 25 lakhs which she decided to donate to a hospital that provides treatment to the underprivileged section of the society. Big B asked Sindhu to share a special message for the youth of the country. The shuttler said that hard work is the only mantra. Indeed a lot was said by her in just few words.
