Thursday is always special for television freaks as they eagerly await the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) ratings for their favourite daily soaps all over the week. Like all other weeks, the much anticipated TRP/BARC ratings for week 27 is out. It seems like Color TV is in no mood to slip away its position in the top 10 chart and continues to rule the roost. Zee TV and Star Plus have been maintaining their second and third positions in the TRP chart respectively. While Sony Sab has found the 4th place at the pecking order of the General Entertainment Channels (GECs), STAR Bharat is popping way below than expectations. Without elaborating further, here we bring you the list of the top-rated shows of week 27.
Colors TV cannot stop gushing over its continuous victory in the BARC/TRP rating for the last few weeks and is grabbing eyeballs with the new and third season of its supernatural series Naagin 3. The new season was first aired on June 2, 2018 and made people drooling over some exciting story lines and unpredictable twists. Starring 'Qubool Hai' actress Surbhi Jyoti in the lead role, Naagin plots revenge against the killers in various avatars when her better half is murdered.
Colors TV's much loved dance reality show Dance Deewane, which previously slipped down the TRP ladder, has made a splashing comeback on week 27. Featuring Madhuri Dixit, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia in the judges panel, the reality television show has managed the second spot in the list of top 10 shows of the week. Dance Deewane, which premiered on June 2, is an amazing platform to prove talents for three different generations.
Kundali Bhagya, the popular Indian romantic drama which is aired on Zee TV has moved down to spot number 3. Starring Dheeraj Dhoopar and Shraddha Arya in key roles, the daily soap was enjoying the glorious second place from the past couple of weeks. However, the impressing storyline and Dheeraj-Shraddha's onscreen chemistry have made the Ekta Kapoor show an all-time hit. Viewers are staying tuned with the soap opera since its inception and made it to consistently top the chart.
Yeh Rishta Kya KehIata Hai, which on week 26 had failed to find any place in the TRP chart, is popping up on the trend list again. Featuring Shivangi Joshi aka Naira and Mohsin Khan aka Kartik in the lead roles, the Star Plus show has secured the fourth place in the standings of top 10 shows. The series, which initially focused on Naira's parents, is now featuring some breathtaking episodes on tensed relationship between Naira and Kartik.
Ishq Subhan Allah, which has won million of hearts with its 'out of the ordinary' story lines, is retaining the fifth place on week 27 as well. Featuring Adnan Khan and Eisha Singhhe in pivotal roles, the Zee TV show was first aired on 14 March and found a place in the TRP rating chart within months of its inception. The story of Ishq Subhan Allah revolves around the lives of Kabeer and Zara, two ardent followers of Islam having totally opposite principles and beliefs.
Kulfi Kumar Bajewala is perhaps the sweetest of all. After a week of absence, the captivating Star Plus show is again doing rounds in the top 10 chart. The popular family drama, which is on a roll with a slew of breathtaking episodes over the week, has secured the sixth spot in the BARC chart. Kulfi Kumar Bajewala is the heartwarming story of a seven year-old, who takes to street to reunite with her estranged father, Sikandar Singh Gill. Will Kulfi be able to find his father? Stay tuned to get the answer of your million-dollar question.
Kumkum Bhagya has slipped one place down the TRP ladder to claim the seventh position in the top 10 list. The 2014 show, which features Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in lead roles, has bagged several awards for its powerpacked episodes over the years. The awards include Indian Telly Award, ITA Award, Zee Rishtey Award and many more.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah is the only Sony Sab show to find place in the TRP rating chart quite frequently. Though it did not manage to hit the top 10 chart on week 26, audience are showering their love and blessings over the show yet again. Week 27 chart shows the comedy drama at number 8. However, the show is currently in headlines for not a good reason at all. On Monday, soap lovers burst into tears after Kavi Kumar Azad aka Dr. Hansraaj Hathi from TMKOC breathed his last. Azad was unwell for the past few days and died due to a massive cardiac arrest at Miraroad Wockhardt Hospital in Thane. Though tragedy hit the cast and crew of TMKOC, we hope the show will continue to do wonders in the screens.
Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki is the another show, which has witnessed a deterioration in the BARC TRP chart. While some of the enthralling episodes earlier took the serial up to number 5, week 27 chart is a waking up call for its makers. The latest BARC TRP rating has awarded the Vivian Dsena-Rubina Dilaik starrer with ninth position. Hence, a slight mistake may throw the daily opera out of the chart.
Kudos to team Qayamath Ki Raat as the supernatural flick has found a place in the TRP chart within weeks of its launch. The supernatural drama, which was first aired on June 23, is already rocking the top 10 list. The Ekta Kapoor serial is the last and tenth number in the week 27 TRP list and is further expected to won another bunch of hearts during their evening snacks.
