A group of Hindu pilgrims from India will arrive in this eastern Pakistani city on Friday to attend the Shivaratri festival at the historic Katas Raj temple.

The pilgrims, who will enter Pakistan through the Wagah land border, will travel to Chakwal district near Islamabad on Saturday to participate in the festivities.

Senior officials of the Evacuee Trust Property Board, which is responsible for arranging such pilgrimages, will receive the yatris at Wagah.
