The film was released on 25 November 2011, and received a mixed response from critics, however leading to good business at the box office.

New York an Indian thriller film directed by Kabir Khan, produced by Aditya Chopra. It stars John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Irrfan Khan. New York tells the story of three students studying at the fictional New York State University and there live's changes after September 11 attacks.
Dostana (2008):
Dostana was directed by Tarun Mansukhani and starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. It was loosely inspired by the Hollywood movie, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Dostana becomes the eighth highest grossing film at the Indian box office in 2008.
