From Sanju to Zero: Top seven much-anticipated Bollywood flicks of 2018

The year 2018 has not been so great for Bollywood with just few films managing to churn out well at the box-office. Starting from the much anticipated and controversial film Padmaavat to Salman Khan’s latest release Race 3. On one hand, some Bollywood movies did well and on the other some tanked at the box-office. But, there is still hope from the upcoming much-awaited flicks that could showcase best figures. The remaining year will be exciting for movie bugs as some of the actors will be seen making their Bollywood debut and while some movies will be reviving their franchise. Here, we will take a look at some of the upcoming Bollywood movies of the year 2018:
Sanju – One of the much anticipated film of the year 2018 is Sanjay Dutt’s biopic Sanju. Sanjay’s character is played by Ranbir Kapoor and the movie is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The movie is slated to release on June 29 and also features Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karishma Tanna, Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal in significant roles.
Sui Dhaaga – The film is based on on Central government’s initiative of ‘Make In India’ and is produced under Yash Raj banner. Sui Dhaaga stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles and is scheduled to release on September 28.
Thugs of Hindostan - Aamir Khan’s fans wait for one complete year for his release and here is the reason Thugs of Hindostan becomes one of the most anticipated film of the year. The movie is slated to release during the festival season of Diwali. Produced under Yash Raj banner, the movie also Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Zero – Shah Rukh Khan as dwarf is something which no one has ever imagined of. SRK has a habit of experimenting with his acting skills by making films out of the league. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on December 21 and also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
Dhadak – The movie is the debut film of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar in Bollywood. Dhadak is the remake of the Marathi blockbuster flick Sairat which was released in the year 2016. Helmed by Shaishank Khaitan, Dhadak is slated to hit the theatres on July 20.
Student of the Year 2 - The movie is the sequel of the 2012 super hit film of same name which features Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The sequel stars Tiger Shroff, Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. If everythings falls into place, the movie will release on November 23.
Gold – Akshay Kumar starrer Gold is another much-anticipated flick of the year. The movie is based on India’s historic win at 1991 Olympics. The movie will also be Mouni Roy’s debut in Bollywood and is slated to release on August 15.
