Arshad Warsi, one of the most talented but underrated actors of Bollywood today. Not everyone knows that the actor started his Bollywood career as a choreographer. As hard work pays off he was noticed by Jaya Bachchan who offered him his first film Tere Mere Sapne (1996). Over the years, we have seen him play different characters and we loved every bit of it. As the actor turns 51 today, let’s take a look at the Total Dhamaal actor's finest performances till date.
Circuit – Munnabhai Series
The most memorable role of Arshad Warsi that created his unique fan base was that of Circuit in Munnabhai. No one could have done justice to the role like Arshad did. His comic timing and the dialogue left was instrumental in making the movie what it is today.
Babban- Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya
Babban and his partner-in-crime, Khalujan (The infallible Naseeruddin Shah) were like chalk and cheese, poles apart but rooted to each other. Babban was filthy, loud and completely lecherous but even when depicting a grey character Arshad as Babban was relatable and much loved. Arshad’s Babban was a refreshing breath of fresh air.
Jagdish Tyagi-Jolly LLB
Jolly LLB saw Arshad Warsi play the role of an advocate who fights for justice. While the courtroom drama demanded him to play a serious character, there were some scenes in the film where he is shown having a good sense of humor.
SSP Ajay Kumar in Sehar
Arshad Warsi plays a tough, honest cop trying to fight organised crime in late '90s Uttar Pradesh in one of his best films Sehar. As Ajay Kumar, Arshad Warsi gives a heartfelt and serious performance but sadly the film and his work went unnoticed.
