Debuting with the 1992 romantic drama Bekhudi, Kajol played the character of a young girl Radhika in the film who falls in love with the protagonist played by Kamal Sadanah, also a debutant. The movie, however, was a flop at the box office, but Kajol’s performance was noticed by Abbas-Mustan, who signed her for his super hit Baazigar (1993) opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
