Happy Birthday Lara Dutta: Times when the former Miss Universe raised fashion bar with her outfits

Lara Dutta turned 41 today. The former Miss Universe's has a great taste in fashion. It is uber chic, classy and unconventional. Whatever she wears looks good on her, and she knows exactly how to carry her outfits.

Lara has also created a whole line of saris for women who are keen to strike the right balance between traditionalism and modernity.

The actress thinks her biggest fashion critic is her daughter "She is my biggest fashion police and has a say in everything I wear. And I guess she should have a say. She looks at everything and has authority on my hair, makeup and clothes." she once said in an interview.

Lara was crowned Miss Universe 2000 and Miss Intercontinental 1997. She was also the second woman from India to be crowned Miss Universe, and has been the only delegate from India to win the crown since.In the year 2004 and 2016, she was awarded by Padma Shri Award and Padma Bhusan Awardrespectively.
