1) Ruki Ruki from Mast:
The 1999 release Mast, directed by Ram Gopal Verma, was an instant hit at the box office. What didn't go unnoticed was Sunidhi Chauhan's melodious voice. She was only 16 when she recorded the song along with Sonu Nigam who was already established in the industry. The song Ruki Ruki was a hit and she even won the prestigious R. D. Burman Filmfare Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
2) Sajna Ve Sajna from Chameli:
Chameli was a 2004 film in which Kareena Kapoor played the role of a prostitute and also starred Rahul Bose. The movie wasn't a huge commercial success but critics welcomed it. Sunidhi Chauhan once again charmed everyone with her voice. She lent her voice for two songs, Bhaage Re Mann and Sajna Ve Sajna. The latter helped her win a Star Screen Award for best playback singing.
3) Dhoom Machale from Dhoom:
The hit song Dhoom Machale became the face of the movie. One could not just mention the 2005 movie Dhoom without the song playing at the back of the mind. Sunidhi Chauhan gave a powerful performance with this song. She won the Best Female Playback Singer Award of the International Indian Film Academy.
4) Beedi Jalaile from Omkara:
Even Shakespeare wouldn't have imagined that his work Othello would be remade in a 2007 movie set in a village of Uttar Pradesh, India. But the magician Vishal Bhardawaj made it possible. Speaking of magic, Sunidhi Chauhan cast a magical spell on listeners with the song Beedi Jalaile. This song was a huge hit and Chauhan won the Filmfare award for best singer.
5) Sheila Ki Jawani from Tees Maar Khan:
Though Tees Maar Khan was a huge box office failure, this song was a hit. Sunidhi Chauhan’s song Sheila Ki Jawani won several accolades for her. The song was a huge hit across the nation and Sunidhi graced her award collection with yet another Filmfare award for this song.
