Uri trailer released: Bollywood films based on Indian Army

Indian Army and Bollywood shares a very special connection between them. Watching Bollywood films where actors playing soldiers and army officers surely boost our adrenaline by number of times. The movies which are based on Army’s life and based on Indian wars serves as a tribute to our brave army soldiers. On December 5, trailer of much-awaited film and Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri was released. Here, we have shortened the directory of such films and bring you the list of some of the popular Bollywood flicks based on Indian Army.
Border – Released in the year 1997, the war film is based on the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film featured Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Akshaye Khanna and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.
LOC Kargil - Another JP Dutta’s directorial and war drama film ‘LOC Kargil’, which was based on the Kargil War between India and Pakistan in the year 1999. The movie features Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and many other actors.
Paltan – Released in the year 2018, the war film is based on on 1967 Nathu La and Cho La clashes along the Sikkim border after 1962 Sino-Indian War. The star cast of the film includes Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan and many more.
Madras Café - Helmed by Shoojit Sircar, ‘Madras Café’ is set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, during the time of Indian intervention in the Sri Lankan civil war and assassination of former Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi. The film features John Abraham, Nargis Fakhri, Rashi Khanna and Siddharth Basu in pivotal roles.
Tubelight – Salman Khan starrer 2017 flick ‘Tubelight’ is loosely based on the 1962 Sino-Indian War. It also features Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu, and Om Puri. It is also an adaptation of the 2015 American film ‘Little Boy’.
