China has one again opted for innovation and constructed world's longest glass suspension bridge which was recently opened in China's Shiniuzhai National Park, Hunan province.

The 590-feet-high and 984 feet-long bridge is named as Haohan Qiao (Brave Men's bridge).

The bridge was originally made of wood, then added a section of glass to the bridge last year.

But to their delight, the glass portion of the bridge was liked so much by the tourists that the department then decided to transform the entire structure.

It took a team of 11 engineers who carried out the work, adding new steel cables and struts for support before replacing the wooden slats with panes of glass.

Seeing the dangers of glass, the engineers doubled up it to give a thickness of 24 millimeters (0.94 inches).

Also assuring the visitors of the bridge, the company maintained that one should never feel scared as the steel structures beneath the bridge is incredibly dense so even if the glass gets broken, visitors won't fall down.
