As seven phase Lok Sabha election is underway in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress' star campaigners, have intensified their public contact programmes in different parts of the state. Amid this heated election campaign and daily war of words between political bigwigs, Kanpur has witnessed a rare moment of "sibling banter" on Saturday. Yes! While heading to different directions to attend their respective meetings, Rahul and Priyanka - the most famous brother-sister duo of Indian politics, bumped into each other at Kanpur airport in Uttar Pradesh. Taking to Facebook, Congress president Rahul Gandhi also shared a video from the airport where the two are seen sharing a heartwarming and intimate moment of "sibling rivalry" while pulling each other's leg over who has a better helicopter to fly! Last but not the least, the Gandhi scions took a moment from their jam-packed schedule and obliged pilots and airport ground staffs by clicking photographs while hugging, smiling and pampering each other.
In the 1:56 minutes long video, Rahul is seen "complaining" about how Priyanka gets to travel in big helicopters even if she has to travel small distances. The Congress chief, on the other hand, has to travel in little helicopters, even if he has to fly for a long duration.
"Let me tell you what it means to be a good brother. What it means is that I am doing these massive, long flights and I am going in a little helicopter. (However) My sister is doing short flights but she is going in a big helicopter. But I love her," Rahul said with his arm wrapped around his sister.
Sister Priyanka was also quick to counter her brother's claim, saying "That is not true. That’s not true. I had one hour flight".
Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who was scheduled to address a public meeting in Raebareli, had a heartwarming interaction with a little boy named Mohammed Farhan and took a selfie with him.
The younger Gandhi, who is the party’s eastern UP incharge, on the other hand, headed to a roadshow in Unnao and is also scheduled to address a rally in Barabanki along with a roadshow, and another public rally in Dewa.
