From Deve Gowda to Hema Malini - Political biggies file nominations for first phase of Lok Sabha polls

The political ardour is gaining pace across India with party leaders ramping up their efforts to woo voters ahead of the next month's crucial Lok Sabha Elections 2019. With less than 20 days left for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls, parties are leaving no stone unturned to frame their campaign and reach out to voters in order to win big in Mission 2019. Monday being the last date of filing nominations for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, several big names of the BJP, Congress and other political parties have filed nominations from their respective constituencies. Those leaders include HD Deve Gowda, Naveen Patnaik, Farooq Abdullah, VK Singh, Hema Malini, HD Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil Kumaraswamy and many others.
Former prime minister and Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) president HD Devegowda on Monday filed his nomination from the Tumkur Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka. He will contest the elections on April 18 on a joint JDS-Congress ticket.
