In pictures: Priyanka Gandhi’s 'Ganga Yatra' from Allahabad to Varanasi

Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh-East Priyanka Gandhi on Monday formally kick-started Congress party's campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh from Allahabad. Before embarking on her 'Ganga yatra', Priyanka offered prayers at famous 'Bade Hanuman ji' temple located next to Sangam Ghat. The 140 km long 'Ganga-yatra' which began from Chhatnag in Prayagraj will end at Assi Ghat in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency Varanasi.
Before embarking on her 'Ganga yatra', Priyanka Gandhi offered prayers at famous 'Bade Hanuman ji' temple located next to Sangam Ghat in Allahabad (Prayagraj).
Priyanka Gandhi also offered prayers at Triveni Sangam before stating her 3-day long 'Ganga-yatra' from Chhatnag in Prayagraj to Assi Ghat in Varanasi. (ANI Photo)
Priyanka traveled in a tiny boat to reach Triveni Ghat. During her visit, she will addresses several meeting at villages located near the banks of the Ganga.
A special steamer boat has been prepared for Priyanka Gandhi. She will take a 3-day, 140 km long 'ganga-yatra' on this boat.
